About The Role

In this role, you will work on high impact projects to shape strategy and optimize performance of our last mile delivery. We are looking for an outstanding individual who is passionate about designing and executing creative solutions to drive both reliability and growth. You will work closely with our leadership team and drive alignment across the entire organization, including Operations, Partner Management, Product, and Engineering.

What You'll Do

• Proactively scope and lead multiple projects to improve reliability (completion rate & on-time rate) of the Direct business; take accountability for project outcomes, ensure delivery on project critical metrics, & keep others informed of progress
• Analyze sophisticated data, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and policies
• Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to track business performance; report findings to senior leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making
• Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other operations teams as well as Product, Partner Managers, Sales, Finance, etc. to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
• Coordinate with the Product team to prioritize and iterate on new tech features that improve the merchant experience
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional work experience in a related field (start-up, operations, strategy, analytics, tech)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets or SQL proficiency
• Bachelor degree
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional data management skills and strong SQL proficiency is a plus
• Experience with Python/R or other statistics/BI tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
• Excellent organization, time management and prioritization skills; proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently delivering against hard deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to synthesize information quickly, to distill key takeaways, and to weave insights into a compelling story that clarifies and inspires
• Ability to build deep cross-functional relationships across a broad organization, foster collaborative work environment, and understand problems from diverse perspectives. Humility and empathy are critical to success in this role
  
  

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
