We believe that accessibility is a necessary condition for an equal, just, and thriving society, and that everyone, without exception, deserves to enjoy using our website. Therefore, we have ensured that our site is clear and accessible, facilitating easy navigation for those using assistive technologies.
General
An accessible website is one that allows a person with disabilities to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, using the system capabilities on which it operates and through assistive technologies. The site has been tested with NVDA screen reading software. The accessibility adaptations on our site were carried out in accordance with Regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 2013, and according to the Israeli Standard T.Y. 5568 at the AA level.
Standards Compliance
All pages on this site are written in valid HTML5, and we utilize ARIA to support assistive technologies used by people with disabilities, such as screen readers. The site is designed with high-contrast colors that allow optimal use for those with visual impairments and color blindness. The content on the site is semantic. The site includes headings, data tables, lists, paragraphs, standard links, form controls, and meaningful image descriptions. The forms on the site are accessible to screen readers and keyboard users. The site is responsive, optimized for viewing on mobile devices.
Site Display
The site features a button to change contrast, and additionally, you can change the site display, such as text size, color contrast, etc., using keyboard shortcuts or through the browser menu. You are invited to follow the instructions for changing colors and fonts in your browser, but remember that these changes will affect all sites that you view through your browser.
Keyboard Navigation
The site can be navigated using a keyboard alone, by using the TAB key to move to the next link and TAB + SHIFT to return to the previous one. Text navigation is performed using arrow keys, and the Enter key activates various links. Selection from a form menu is done using the space bar on the keyboard. At the top of the site pages, there is an option to skip to the page content, which can also be reached by moving to a heading at level 1, for example, after selecting the required data type in the selection bar.
Data Accessibility on the Site
On the site, some information is displayed graphically through dashboards, therefore a button is available to download the data to an Excel file, thus providing another way to consume the same information, suitable for additional target audiences.
Accessibility Limitations
We are still developing and updating the site; therefore, there may be specific issues. Despite this, to the best of our knowledge, there is no impairment in the site's accessibility, and all services can be fully received. If you encounter a problem, write to the email: amitre@jdc.org, or contact our accessibility coordinator who will handle it.
