We’re on the hunt for our next Strategic Operations Manager. This expert multitasker will ensure the Workforce One Center meets and exceeds the standards of an employer-demand driven site. The Strategic Operations Manager will ensure that the team is equipped with strong policies, procedures and data to inform service delivery and evaluate the effectiveness of the site. This individual will be a critical member of the leadership team by providing the systems and resulting rigor to drive quality improvement.
The Awesome Things You’ll Do
- Develop operational strategy in the form of policies and procedures to ensure that the needs of job seekers and employers are met and exceeded
- Manage and refine data tracking and develop mechanisms to analyze impact and refine strategy to meet outcomes
- In partnership with the Director and Assistant Directors review and distill Labor Market information to drive the employer engagement strategy and cultivate new relationships
- Monitor data on recruitment flow of job seekers, including special populations (Veterans, Recipients of TANF, People with Disabilities, and Older Adults)
- Provide gap analysis to ensure a comprehensive approach to the development of and deepening of employer needs
- Use data from surveys to employers to drive the engagement strategy and business cultivation
- Ensures operations of the Workforce One are effectively managed and serve the needs of employers and job seekers
- In partnership with the supervisory team identify professional development needs for the team and ensure training occurs regularly to address gaps and drive outcomes for employers
- Generate daily, weekly and quarterly reports and analysis protocols to ensure Workforce One staff engage in a continuous improvement process to meet the needs of employers
- Attend offsite events and training as needed
- B.A. or B.S. degree required along with at least one to two years’ experience providing career navigation, case management, vocational counseling, or employment services.
- Demonstrated success providing operational oversight to workforce development programs
- Ability to utilize labor market information and data for quality improvements
- Experience in evaluating and developing strategy in outcomes-oriented environments
- Knowledge of how to implement exemplary policies and procedures protocols
- An understanding of the special needs of an economically and socially disadvantaged population.
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work with diverse populations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active and reflective listening, motivational interviewing, authentic communication, and conflict resolution
- Highly effective problem-solving and follow up skills
- Ability to focus deadlines and details
- Excellent networking skills
- Record-keeping, case noting, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining confidentiality
- Proposed hiring range of $65,000 to $75,000
