The anticipated salary range for this role is between $60,000.00 and $78,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
SMBC is seeking a Facilities Coordinator/Assistant who has a strong passion for Corporate Real Estate and Facilities and is interested in building a career at a fast growing and reputable Bank. The Facilities Coordinator/Assistant will assist with ensuring the efficient management and maintenance of our workspace. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to facility upkeep, repairs and maintaining the cleanliness of our office environment.
This Facilities support staff is responsible for conducting daily inspections of the office premises to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and security of our facilities. Implementing best practices and overseeing facilities performance to meet organizational objectives.
Opening Statement
This role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in our organization daily functions by maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment that supports the daily operations of the office. Ensure that all areas of the premises are well kept, equipment and pantries are properly maintained and any issues are addressed promptly to provide a comfortable and productive space for all employees and visitors.
Role Objectives: Expertise
Support a facilities management strategy. Help inspect office premises ensuring required maintenance and repairs are completed in accordance with safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, stocking of break rooms and common areas.
Provide clerical and administrative assistance related to facilities operations.
Assure pantries and cafeterias are appropriately stocked with supplies as needed.
Assist in setting up meeting rooms and offices spaces for events and daily operations.
Handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks for office equipment, fixtures, and furniture.
Ability to operate hand tools effectively.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and office consumables.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies during both regular work hours and outside of regular hours as required.
Collaborate with other departments to support their facility-related needs, such as adjustments to heating and cooling settings and repairs.
Collaboration with the onsite engineering team to report facility issues promptly and assist with supply order.
Mail Handling: Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, packages and other deliveries promptly.
Outgoing Mail: Prepare outgoing mail, including sealing, weighing, stamping and ensuring correct addressing and packages.
May require working occasional off hours as needed, including some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use a hand truck or rolling dolly for heavy items.
Qualifications and Skills
Interface with building management, vendors and cleaning staff.
Work off hours as needed, including some weekends.
Knowledge of facility maintenance or operations.
Provide clear and concise written and oral communication.
Demonstrate customer service excellence.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow directions and keen attention to details.
Detail oriented and organized, ability to work on serval projects simultaneously.
Ensure business continuity under all conditions, sometimes adverse with strict adherence to established guidelines and deadlines.
