Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Account Executive, North America Sales to support and grow retail partnerships and execute best-in-class commercial strategies across the region.

Reporting directly to the Director of North America Sales and working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations, this role will be instrumental in driving sales performance and retail marketing efforts for their brand collections through both existing and new retail channels (Prestige and Mass).

This role includes ownership of several key North American retail accounts including SEPHORA + ULTA and the execution of strategic initiatives that support sell-in, sell-through, and long-term brand growth. Additionally, the AE will assist in shaping our commercial roadmap and lead business development efforts with new retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Management & Business Development

  • Manage and grow top-tier accounts including Sephora, Sephora at Kohl’s, and Sephora Canada, ensuring strategic alignment and execution of sell-in and sell-through strategies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored, effective retailer programs that drive seasonal and annual performance.
  • Execute new item setup, sampling programs, and co-op initiatives through retailer portals and internal systems.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with retail buyers and merchandising teams.
  • Lead and support new business development across North America in both Prestige and Mass channels, identifying white space and expansion opportunities.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Build and manage annual revenue and sales projections by account, including analysis of gross-to-net sales.
  • Align with internal teams on SKU-level forecasting to ensure inventory availability and demand planning accuracy.
  • Own and manage all selling expenses associated with North American retail partners.

3. Sell-Through Strategy & Activation

  • Partner with each retailer to develop customized activation plans that drive sell-through during key periods.
  • Collaborate with Training and Education teams to ensure in-store and online execution is on-brand and impactful.

4. Reporting & Insights

  • Track, analyze, and report on retail sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to refine strategies based on sales analytics, KPIs, and historical data.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile:

You are a high-energy, strategic thinker and self-starter with deep knowledge of the North American beauty retail landscape. You thrive in collaborative environments and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. You bring both creativity and rigor to your work, along with a proven ability to build strong partnerships and drive commercial success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the beauty or consumer products space. (exposure to SEPHORA or ULTA required)
  • Deep understanding of the North American retail landscape, including strong connections or access to buyers in the Prestige and Specialty space.
  • Demonstrated success in managing both sell-in and sell-through strategies, forecasting, and budget oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America (up to 20%).
