Position Overview
The Payroll and HRIS Specialist is responsible for managing payroll processes and maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll. This role is critical in supporting the HR team with reporting and analysis to enhance decision-making.
We have just implemented Dayforce, this role will review all payroll and any corrections within the system. You will also manage all reports and special projects for HRIS. This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position that can grow into leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring all employee records are current and accurate.
- Support HRIS from during upgrades, testing and all reporting.
- Generate and analyze payroll and HR reports to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the HR team to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues efficiently.
- Support the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes, including Dayforce.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing.
- Experience with a HRIS system, Dayforce preferred. This experience includes reporting, system maintenance, upgrades, owing the HRIS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret reports.
- Experience with Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
