Azora Capital LP is a $1.6B hedge fund specializing in a fundamental, non-directional long/short equity strategy. We have a strong track record and a focus on the financial services sector, deploying capital across a mix of commingled funds and separately managed accounts. Our portfolio includes equities, swaps, options, FX, and occasionally more complex products like futures, PIPEs, and convertibles.

We are a lean, high-performing team of 14 — 5 on the investment side and 9 on the non-investment side. As we grow, we’re looking to add a Fund Accountant to our accounting and operations group.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of the team, you’ll work closely with our Controller, Assistant Controller, and Senior Fund Accountant on:

• Daily cash and position reconciliations
• Journal entry booking and accrual maintenance
• Monthly NAV review and reporting
• End-of-day trade allocation reviews
• Auditor coordination and regulatory report preparation
• Special projects and process improvement initiatives

Who You Are:

✔ 1–2 years of relevant experience (Big 4 preferred, ideally with alternatives exposure)

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

✔ GPA of 3.4+ from a recognized institution and strong SAT/ACT scores (1200+/1600 equivalent)

✔ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

✔ Familiarity with fund accounting, NAV calculation, and financial statement prep

✔ Bonus: Knowledge of equity derivatives, private instruments, and regulatory filings
