Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled PART TIME Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will manage payroll operations for both retail and corporate employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while utilizing your expertise in payroll systems and processes.









THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE 15-20 HOURS PER WEEK (Wed-Thurs-Friday)









Responsibilities:



• Process payroll for retail and corporate employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.



• Handle payroll-related accounting tasks, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.



• Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports and remittances in compliance with regulations.



• Administer employee benefits such as 401k and RRSP contributions.



• Manage multi-state payroll processes for a workforce of 250+ employees.



• Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian software to streamline payroll operations.



• Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.



• Maintain detailed records and documentation for payroll activities.



• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries.



• Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

• Proven ability to process payroll for at least 250 employees.

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian systems.

• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processes.

• Familiarity with accounting functions related to payroll.

• Experience administering benefits such as 401k and RRSP.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
