Through the collaboration of a NY state agency and Peak Performers, on behalf of the NYS Community Commission on Reparations Remedies, we are seeking a dedicated and organized Executive Administrative Assistant to provide critical support to the Commission's Executive Director, Operations Manager, and Commissioners. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of Commission meetings, hearings, and activities, both virtual and in-person.

Major Duties
Coordinate and document formal Commission meetings and public hearings; take detailed meeting minutes and distribute timely.
Assist with logistics and communication for in-person and virtual events.
Manage scheduling for Commissioners, subcommittees, and contractors.
Maintain comprehensive calendars and contact databases.
Draft, prepare, and distribute communications, reports, and invitations to stakeholders.
Support travel coordination and logistical planning for Commissioners and staff.
Provide general administrative support including correspondence, record-keeping, and document organization.
What are we looking for?
Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in an administrative support role.
Proven experience in minute-taking for public or formal meetings.
Experience coordinating meetings and events with multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams, YouTube).
Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additonal Requirments
Must provide own laptop and cell phone for remote work.
Must be willing and able to travel statewide (1–2 times/month) for in-person meetings and events.
Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Exciting Opportunity Details
Rate: $32.00/hour
Length of Engagement: 1 year (temp to permanent)
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 10AM– 6 pm with flexibility required.
Location: Remote, NYC, NY 12242; with travel through out New York State
