**Location:** 164-50 Crossbay Boulevard 1st Floor Howard Beach, NY 11414

**Hours:** Part-time, 28 hours per week. Sunday 3:00pm - 10:00pm, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 6:50am - 2:00pm

**Primary Responsibilities:**



+ Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available

+ Greets patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork

+ Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner

+ Assists and accompanies patients to exam rooms

+ Interviews patients and records information into the medical record

+ Measures, collects, and records patient vital signs

+ Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests

+ Displays proficient phlebotomy practices

+ Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab

+ Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction

+ Places follow-up phone calls to patients

+ Performs other duties as required

+ Traveling and providing coverage to neighboring sites as needed

**Required Qualification:**



+ High school diploma or equivalent



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Certification in Medical Assisting

+ Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.)

+ Epic experience

+ Proven solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish)



The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
