Job Overview – Nurse Practitioner (NP):
Compensation: $140,000 – $148,000/year
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
Join our client’s healthcare team in the Bronx as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), delivering compassionate, comprehensive primary care in a community-based setting. In this full-time role, you’ll conduct evaluations, prescribe treatments, manage chronic conditions, and provide confidential services in collaboration with the Medical Director. This opportunity is ideal for experienced NPs who are passionate about family health, preventive care, and culturally sensitive service delivery.
Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Perform complete medical and psychosocial evaluations to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Preventive Screenings: Conduct Pap smears, GC cultures, Chlamydia tests, and other screenings based on individual risk profiles.
- Medication & Treatment Management: Prescribe medications, manage chronic conditions, and coordinate care in line with clinical standards.
- Confidential Reproductive Care: Deliver family planning and sensitive services with respect for patient autonomy and confidentiality.
- Patient Education & Lab Review: Provide education on preventive health, nutrition, and STD/HIV care while reviewing lab results and coordinating follow-up testing as needed.
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing required, with Nurse Practitioner certification and current New York State licensure.
- Experience: 3+ years as a Nurse Practitioner in family or primary care, with proven experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar platforms.
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, patient-first mindset, with cultural sensitivity and respect for patient autonomy in areas like family planning and preventive care.
