Coalition for the Homeless is the nation's oldest advocacy and direct service organization dedicated to helping homeless individuals and families. The organization believes in affordable housing, access to sufficient food, and the opportunity to work for a living wage as fundamental rights. Since 1981, the Coalition has been working to achieve these goals through litigation, public education, and direct services.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Program Director located in New York, NY. The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations, developing program initiatives, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring the effective delivery of services to homeless individuals and families.
- Experience in program management, development, and evaluation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of social services and homelessness issues
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Experience working with homeless populations is a plus
