Investment Analyst

The Diamond Family Office is seeking a full-time investment Analyst to join our single-family office investment team. We manage permanent, long-term capital and invest across public and private markets, including direct investments in equities, credit, and other securities, as well as allocations to external managers.

Our permanent capital base allows us to be opportunistic and contrarian—investing when others cannot. We operate with a broad investment mandate and value individuals with entrepreneurial spirit, sound judgment, integrity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, structure, and execute prospective investments across asset classes
• Conduct deep thematic and sector research
• Analyze financial data, market trends, and company performance
• Support monitoring of existing investments and portfolio performance
• Draft investment memos and internal presentations
• Assist with administrative and operational tasks related to portfolio management
• Source and diligence prospective managers

Candidate Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Private Equity
• Investment Banking
• Real Estate
• Strong Computer Skills including Deep Excel & AI.
• Candidates with adjacent skill sets—such as backgrounds in law, investigative research/journalism, or management consulting—will also be considered
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in investing is essential
• Must be based in the New York City area and able to work in person full time

Compensation:

About The Diamond Family Office:

Founded in 2011 out of the Schottenstein Family Office, the Diamond Family Office serves three generations of family members. The family has been involved in founding, operating, and investing in numerous successful businesses including American Eagle Outfitters, DSW, and SafeAuto Insurance, in addition to significant real estate and private investments. The family is also recognized for its longstanding philanthropic contributions. Notably, SafeAuto was sold to Allstate in a transaction that closed in October 2021 (Chicago Tribune article).
