A leading alternative asset manager is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join its Energy, Power & Renewables team. This role focuses on high-yield and distressed credit opportunities across the sector, offering the chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and intellectually rigorous environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on companies within the energy, power, and renewables sectors.
  • Evaluate and model complex capital structures, with a focus on high-yield and distressed debt.
  • Monitor existing portfolio positions and provide timely updates on credit events, market developments, and valuation changes.
  • Collaborate with senior investment professionals to develop and present investment theses.
  • Participate in restructuring negotiations and distressed situations, including direct engagement with management teams, advisors, and legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking (preferably in a leveraged finance, restructuring, or natural resources group).
  • 2+ years of experience on the buy-side (credit hedge fund)
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Deep interest in the energy transition and evolving landscape of power and renewables.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
