Who We Are Looking For

La Roche Posay is seeking a Manager to join the NPD/US DMI Hub Team.

The Manager will play a key role in La Roche Posay’s US and Global product launches and categories leading long-term development aligning with brand strategy and needs. We are looking for a candidate with experience in new product development and/or marketing who can support several product categories including suncare, acne, wound healing, body moisturizers/washes, facial moisturizers, anti-aging, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will also be driven, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

As a Manager of NPD/DMI Hub for La Roche Posay, you will:

  • Lead for formula development, concept development, initiating briefs for new projects and collaborate with partners across Research & Innovation, Claims, Artwork/Color/Packaging, and Ops Development teams ensuring seamless execution from ideation to production in a timely manner.
  • Identify consumer, medical and technology/ingredient trends globally and US to inform and inspire product development strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional team including marketing and DMI to creative and deliver success product launches.
  • Foster strong relationships with the US Marketing team and Global DMI team to ensure alignment and synergy in strategy and marketing efforts.
  • Generate innovative and revolutionary product ideas and concepts tailored to the LRP for both consumer and medical.
  • Develop and implement new product strategies, including positioning, formulation, packaging and pricing.
  • Build consumer and medical insights, concept, and name development, launch timeline execution, package development, market research plan, product claims, legal trademark process, cost-of-goods and launch pricing management.
  • Work closely with clinical/scientific director linking new launches with clinical testing to influence and drive consumer claims/communication in addition to medical communication.
  • Conduct market research to decode consumer insights, identify trends and propose concepts and new product opportunities including analyzing challenges and risks,
  • Manage COG’s, Gross Margin, pricing for new product launches.
  • Manage volume/initial forecast meet pipeline growth targets.
  • Create/manage new product briefs for new product launches.
  • Continual analysis of competitive market/landscape including new product launches.
  • Work closely with DMI to ensure strategic alignment while advocating for US.
  • Work closely with US Marketing to help influence impactful launch materials.
  • Manage artwork process (TAG) collaborating closely with Creative team and Master Design team.
  • Work with Creative on package development. Ensure that Creative is aware of all copy/package direction, providing components, working copy, etc. Review all copy submissions. Ensure that mechanicals are accurate for content and are released on time. Monitor accuracy of final copy/art mechanicals.
  • Attend key conference symposiums to gain understanding and insights of aesthetic market.
  • Attend and present Dermatologist Advisory Boards to gain insights and feedback.

Education/Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA. Must have at least 3-5 years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)

Skills

Previous development and strong launch management skills

  • Successfully launched and managed multiple new product launches through entire life cycle
  • Strong execution, leadership, and consensus-building/decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with R&D on a new product or renovation.
  • Skincare experience is a plus.
  • Proven multi-project / team-oriented managerial skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with team-oriented managerial skills; manages complexity with reasoning from multiple perspectives and makes decisions.
  • Demonstrated strong collaborative skills, experience with multi-disciplinary co-creation projects.
  • Proactive, ability to self-manage projects, ability to overcome obstacles independently.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills (written and oral).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • Open to periodic travel

  • Salary Range: $98,400 – $140,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
