Description
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal specializing in residential real estate to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Brooklyn, New York, and offers the opportunity to work on diverse tasks related to condominium and co-op transactions. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing files independently from the initial deal sheet to closing while maintaining direct communication with borrowers.
Responsibilities
- Manage real estate files from initial deal sheet through the closing process.
- Facilitate direct communication with borrowers to ensure seamless transactions.
- Handle condominium and co-op market transactions with precision and attention to detail.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Utilize ACRIS and other case management systems for document filing and tracking.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the transaction process, including brokers and attorneys.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements throughout the transaction.
- Maintain accurate billing records and perform administrative functions as needed.
- Work remotely on designated Fridays, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Proven experience handling residential real estate transactions, including condominiums and co-ops.
- Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and ACRIS for document management.
- Strong knowledge of case management software and billing functions.
- Excellent organizational and calendar management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with borrowers and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with claim administration and briefing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle files independently from deal sheet to closing.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
