Job Description
The Role
We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Finance Manager for our Aviation department to lead our financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting efforts. This role is key in driving strategic financial decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and performance evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, business analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will report to the Vice President of Fanatics Aviation.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and consolidation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, flash, and strategic business plans; including preparation of presentations for each cycle as required.
- Monitor and report on business performance vs. budget and forecast.
- Provide concise insight and variance explanations into key initiatives and financial drivers.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships, working closely with all functional areas to drive transparency and performance across the Aviation organization.
- Work closely with financial system colleagues to understand system functionality, and cross-system mapping and reconciliation.
- Perform and support ad hoc analysis, modeling, and projects as needed.
- Strive to continually improve existing processes and challenge the status quo.
- Other duties as assigned.
- On-time delivery of accurate management reports.
- Quality and accuracy of consolidated budget and forecast financial information.
- Updated manuals and procedural documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields, required.
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
- The position will be based out of New York City with occasional travel to the northeast Philadelphia hangar.
- Strong knowledge of complete MS Office suite with advanced Excel abilities required including pivot tables, conditional formatting, and look-up / other functions.
- Experience with accounting software a plus. Oracle preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment with evolving structures while effectively managing multiple projects with demanding deadlines.
- Previous experience in the aviation industry.
- Previous experience with multi engine, high value jet and rotor wing aircraft.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance/Economics/Quantitative field highly preferred.
- Initiating action, building partnerships, cross-functional teamwork, finding solutions, planning and organizing, self-starter, strong inter-personal skills.
- Strong desire to work cross functionally and learn the operational drivers and constraints in addition to the financials.

- Strong and proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- High-energy self-starter with a proactive approach and history of successful accomplishments; willingness to be hands-on and dig into the details.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written (policies, presentations).
- Ability to naturally analyze, prioritize and synthesize all types of information to enable timely and effective business impact on a consistent basis.
In NYC, the salary range for this position is $134,000 to $150,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
