Junior Health Benefits Analyst Responsibilities
- Compiling and organizing health plan data and analyzing that data to assist in delivering essential health plan information to users
- Performing data validation to ensure accuracy and clarity for the data model
- Investigating data to find patterns and trends, and performing research tasks on different health insurance topics, which will help improve the product
- Utilizing different data sources for analyses and converting that data into usable information that is easy to understand.
- Developing reports and presentations, and communicating analytic insights to management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a life-science, medical, or quantitative discipline (such as mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, or economics), or in healthcare management, health care administration, or business administration.
- Experience in the US health insurance or health benefits administration industries (1-3 years)
- Analytical skills and a great interest in the US healthcare and insurance world
- Professional or substantive applied academic research experience with large electronic healthcare databases - especially administrative claims data, hospital billing data, and/or electronic health records, and clinical coding taxonomies
- Experience analyzing health policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation
- Ability to recognize complex problems, analyze situations, and provide suggested/implemented resolutions using data-driven methods

Salary
For New York City-based hires only: Compensation Range: $60K-$65K base salary, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunity to receive an equity based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies. Compensation finally awarded to the candidate will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of New York City may differ based on the cost of labor and such additional factors for such other locations.
