Job Description ONLY CURRENT YEAR-ROUND PARKS ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY** Citywide Services (CWS) maintains and repairs all major facilities including swimming pools, ice rinks and tennis courts. CWS oversees Capital pool, roof and buildings requirement contracts. Major Responsibilities - Repair and install fences, sidewalks and playground equipment. - Mix and spread cement and concrete. - Apply “cold patch” or cold asphalt to fix potholes. - Install and repair Belgian and Hex block. - Fill post holes with concrete and cement. - Install steel posts. - Move, lift and carry heavy objects related to the work site. - Excavate. - Assist in guardrail repair. - Use a jackhammer and compressor. - Lay asphalt. Qualification Requirements **This vacancy is only open to current permanent Year-Round Associate Park Service Workers or those on leave from the title. Salary*: Your current annual salary plus an annual differential of $8,487 Work Location: Aramark Building, 50 East 138th Street, Bronx - Selection is based on seniority and ability to perform Heavy Duty tasks. - *Appointees to this position will receive a Heavy-Duty Differential of $8,487, in addition to base APSW salary.
