Position Summary
The Admin Assistant will play an integral role in providing clinical and administrative support to our patients and providers across multiple practice locations by managing schedules, triaging calls/messages, and performing and gathering pre-authorizations and referrals for medications and services. This role will also include, billing, purchasing, and accounts payable responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments including verifying demographics, insurance eligibility, and managing referrals, and appointment confirmations.
- Assist in triaging and troubleshooting patient inquires.
- Work closely with providers to manage schedules and ensure maximum schedule efficiency and appointment availability.
- Perform preauthorization's for medications, case coordination with home infusion companies, and Specialty lab testing.
- Perform Allergy Benefits Investigations.
- Document all work in Electronic Medical Record system and communicate updates to both patients and providers
Financial responsibilities:
- Support divisional purchasing by creating requisitions for the administrative office and clinical sites.
- Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices and creating business expense reports.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of related experience.
- Knowledge of EPIC.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Prior experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Other Requirements
- Excellent customer-service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with all levels of staff including faculty and management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
