Job Duties:- Teach a variety of classes in the Spanish language to students in grades 9-12.- Create materials and prepare classes and lesson plans, taking into consideration best practices of second language acquisition and New York State educational standards.- Collaborate with colleagues weekly in developing assessments and thematic units.- Use data-informed methods to modify and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of the individual Learners.- Where applicable, serve as an advisor to students, motivating students across academic skill levels and cultivating students’ social-emotional awareness and well-being.- Liaise with parents and guardians to communicate progress of each student and further learning goals.Minimum Requirements:- U.S. Master's or foreign degree equivalent in Teaching Spanish or a closely related field.- Three years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language.- Ability to speak Spanish is essential to the position.Please send CVs to [email protected] and reference ST2501.
