The Traffic Engineer will work with a Project Manager on a variety of public sector infrastructure projects in the NY/NJ area. Work could include maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) design, signing and striping design, traffic signal design, traffic barrier design, and ITS design, as well as the development and analysis of traffic networks, traffic impact studies, planning studies, data analysis, crash analysis, and traffic signal analysis. We are passionate about the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of safe and efficient transportation systems.We’re seeking someone with a strong desire to play a versatile role within a fast-growing company.Key Responsibilities:Prepare contract plans, estimates and specifications for Traffic Engineering work (Traffic Signals, MPT, signs, pavement markings) on Infrastructure projects in the NY/NJ area, including bridge, roadway, and aviation projects.Assist in the preparation of written reports such as traffic impact studies and crash reports.Perform analytical tasks including traffic analyses and crash analyses.As a small firm, there are great opportunities to work on a variety of projects and learn different aspects of Traffic Engineering including Transportation Planning skills.Compliance with any applicable federal, state or local regulations, and any company policies and protocols.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Office softwareKnowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of planning/engineering software (Highway Capacity Software, SYNCHRO/SIM Traffic)Uncompromising IntegrityExcellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.Have a solid time management system and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.Pay/Benefits Enovate has great benefits.
