Logistics Expert

Description We are looking for a Logistics Expert to join our dynamic aluminum logistics team in New York, New York. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with traders and other team members while managing end-to-end operations for assigned customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating shipments, overseeing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.



Responsibilities:

• Collaborate daily with traders and other team members to support logistics operations.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of assigned customers and suppliers, from contract entry to delivery.

• Input contracts into the system after bookings are made by traders.

• Arrange material pickup from warehouses and coordinate deliveries to customers.

• Manage import processes by working closely with freight brokers and customs brokers.

• Monitor shipments and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to track and manage logistics data effectively.

• Communicate with suppliers and customers to address any issues or delays.

• Ensure compliance with regulations and documentation requirements for shipments. Requirements • Proficiency in logistics coordination and supply chain management.

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce systems.

• Familiarity with CRM tools and benefit functions such as 401k and RRSP administration.

• Strong knowledge of claim and Cobra administration processes.

• Ability to audit and ensure accuracy in logistics operations.

• Advanced skills in using Excel for data management and reporting.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Experience managing import processes and working with brokers.
