**Senior Java Developer w/Python (Onsite)**



**Location: New York, NY.**



**Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)**



**Onsite position, 5 days a week at the office.**



**Roles and Responsibilities.**



+ **Collaborate with backend developers and other teams to ensure seamless integration with APIs.**

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications using advanced Java technologies and frameworks.

+ Develop and manage using Python and FastAPI

+ Develop and manage REST API , microservices using **Spring Boot** .

+ Build and deploy containerized applications using **Docker** in a **cloud-native** environment.

+ Implement event-driven architectures and work with **Kafka** and **MQ** for real-time messaging and event management.



**Required Qualifications.**



+ 5 - 7 + years of hands-on experience in Java 17+ development with a strong understanding of advanced Java concepts.

+ Proficiency in building REST API , microservices using latest Spring Boot 3.3.5.

+ Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and working in a cloud-native environment.

+ Strong expertise in latest Kafka and MQ for message queuing and event-driven systems.



**Other Compensation:**

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422– $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.



This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
