Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Designer with a strong background in children’s apparel to join our New York design team. This role is ideal for a creative visionary who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of current trends, color, fabric, and fit for kids’ fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from concept to final sample for seasonal collections
• Research trends, colors, graphics, and fabrics relevant to children’s wear
• Create detailed sketches, tech packs, and presentation materials
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, production, and sales teams to meet brand and retailer expectations
• Oversee fittings and ensure design integrity from prototype to production
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, creative studio culture
• Present concepts and seasonal stories to internal teams and retail partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in children’s apparel design (infant, toddler, or kids)
• Strong technical design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrication, and print techniques
• Excellent sense of color, proportion, and trend forecasting
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
