Packaging Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative and eye-catching packaging solutions that align with our brand identity and enhance the customer experience. This role requires a blend of artistic skills and technical expertise to create packaging that is not only visually appealing but also functional and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative graphic design concepts from ideation through to final production for cosmetic packaging
- Ensure all designs adhere strictly to brand guidelines and individual brand identities, maintaining a consistent and elevated aesthetic across all touchpoints.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing managers, packaging development team and production team.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring high-quality output. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project timelines.
- Proactively seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, iterating on designs to achieve optimal results while maintaining design integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, software, and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance visual storytelling and creative output
- Collaborate with external vendors (renderers, comp house) as needed to ensure smooth production of design materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Professional graphic design experience, preferably within the beauty industry and experience creating packaging design
- A strong and diverse portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, creativity, and a keen eye for aesthetics. Shows design process and how to solve problems in a creative way.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign are essential).
- Proficiency in other relevant design software like Rhino and Keyshot are a plus
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Strong conceptual and creative thinking abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Proactive, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- A passion for the beauty industry
