Position Overview
My client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst or Associate (1 or 2) to join their M&A advisory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in middle-market sell-side transactions, with a preference for experience in healthcare, TMT, consumer, industrials, or financial sponsors. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and clients in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead the execution of sell-side M&A transactions from start to finish.
- Build and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, etc.).
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and marketing documents (CIMs, management presentations).
- Conduct industry and company-specific research and analysis.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data rooms.
- (Associate-level only) Manage analysts and contribute to team development.
- Interface directly with clients, buyers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Senior Analyst
- Minimum 2 years of investment banking analyst experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in middle-market sell-side M&A.
- Industry exposure in healthcare, TMT, consumer, industrials, or financial sponsors.
- Must have closed at least one sell-side M&A transaction.
- Experience at a firm with 10+ professionals and structured deal teams.
- Series 79 license required; Series 63 a plus.
Associate (Level 1 or 2)
- Completed a 2- or 3-year analyst program.
- 4-6 years of total investment banking experience, with a strong focus on sell-side healthcare M&A.
- Must have closed 3+ sell-side M&A transactions and managed analysts on deal teams.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare sector, including services and IT.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills; Excel proficiency required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Experience at a firm with 10+ professionals and structured training.
- Series 79 and 63 licenses required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Life Sciences; advanced degree preferred.
