Job Description:
Looking for a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. This is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Growth and Consumer Acquisition. As the Social Media Manager and Content Creator, you will support the growing social media team including contributing to social media strategy, managing content calendars across brands and social channels, content creation, project management of social media assets from multiple teams/influencers/partners.
The ideal candidate will be obsessed with social media, pop culture, trends, skincare and beauty. They will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, detail-oriented, organized and great at creating content on the fly with no grammatical errors and a creative lens. They will think creatively and strategically to help support the team and come up with fresh ideas. This person should be comfortable working within the competitive, ever-changing landscapes of Meta and TikTok for beauty.
This position is located in our Midtown East offices in New York City. We are currently working in a hybrid office model of 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days at home.
Responsibilities:
- Robust, monthly, social media content calendars
- Short form video and photo content creation, daily
- Lead brainstorms and provide trends recommendations
- Support and production on photo and video shoots
- Manage content creators in our UGC program
- Social media caption writing
- Content ideation for new product launches
- Project management for distribution of assets cross departmentally to sales and international teams.
- Creative brief based on competitive insights for new product launches and campaigns.
- Content deliverables for beauty retailers
- Support paid media team with asset requests/asset optimization.
- Must have 3+ years of related experience in social media management and content creation; beauty brand or similar preferred.
- Extremely detail oriented and skilled at project management.
- Must have proven track record of growing social presence for brands and organizing big campaigns
- Must have content examples to share of brand content creation on Meta and TikTok
- Must have in-depth knowledge of all social media platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and on top of trends
- Excellent at editing and producing content for Reels and TikTok
- Competitive knowledge of the beauty and skin care industry landscape - must know all top beauty influencers and beauty trends on social media
- Ability to see the big picture goal while also managing details with precision
- Excellent at reacting quickly in a flexible, fast-paced environment to adapt social media content and strategy
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications)
- Ability to work on-site at our headquarters; we are currently working in a hybrid office model of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.
