WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a LPN for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Skilled Nursing Facility in Manhattan, NY.
Job Function
- Day Shift, Evening Shift & Night Shift.
- 7:30am - 3:30pm / 3:30pm - 11:30pm / 11:30pm - 7:30am.
- Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
- Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
- Provides routine care for patients; Observes patients’ health; Assists with patient comfort. Assists physicians and registered nurses; Prepares specimens for lab courier.
- Provides wound care; Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas; Monitors catheters.
- Completion of a state-approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
- Current LPN license for the state of employment, or willingness to obtain one.
- 2 years of LPN experience required, including at least 1 year in a long-term care (LTC) setting within the last 18 months.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
