As a Technical Project Manager III in Corporate Investment Bank - Securities Services, your role will involve assisting and leading complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. You will use and apply your broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories to develop innovative solutions, along with leveraging your analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects that shape the future of the firm.
Job responsibilities
Develops and executes comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
Identifies and mitigates project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
Utilizes technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
Monitors project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle
Directly manages and oversees technology connectivity (sFTP, MQ) for both new and existing external clients, including initiating connectivity requests and engaging with external clients.
Coordinates testing activities, including agreeing on test scope with clients, setting up static data, managing instruction transmissions, ensuring STP of instructions to operations, and obtaining sign-off from Operations. Testing will involve the SWIFT network and flat files via sFTP.
Facilitates communication and coordination between external clients, internal Client Service teams, Operations, and team colleagues.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve
Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies
Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Knowledge of sFTP, MQ and SWIFT would be advantageous.
Excellent client-facing skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
Expertise in Test Management, including writing and agreeing on test scopes.
Proficiency in project management.
