The Role
We're looking for our first Enterprise Account Executive to help build a high-touch sales motion that we can scale into repeatable successes. You'll be a pivotal revenue generator and own the full sales cycle. Your focus will be on proactive outbound prospecting (alongside managing existing pipeline conversion), building early traction, nurturing, and ultimately closing complex deals while also setting some of your own strategic opportunities.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll collaborate closely with the founders, product, and engineering teams to refine our ideal customer profile, evolve messaging, and directly shape the roadmap based on what you're hearing from the market. We're looking for someone who has a strategic hunter mentality balanced against thinking beyond just quota. You'll also love building processes, developing a repeatable playbook, and constantly look for ways to drive ACV higher.
The ideal candidate has experience selling to Enterprise clients (six figure deals). Bonus points if you've helped bring a category-defining product to market before - and you're eager to do it again.
Your Mission
- Own the entire sales process from sourcing to close for strategic/enterprise customers
- Convey Tavus's unique value proposition and effectively address any client concerns
- Build and manage a pipeline of high-potential customers across multiple industries
- Understand client business goals to collaborate with product and engineering and shape demos, solutions, and positioning based on customer use cases
- Develop repeatable outbound strategies and early sales playbooks
- Deliver customer feedback to help shape our roadmap and value proposition
- Help define GTM metrics and reporting as we scale the team
- Lay the foundation for future AE and SDR hires by documenting and optimizing process
- 3+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, preferably at a high-growth startup generating new business within the enterprise market
- Prior experience or readiness to lead multi-threaded deals with large enterprises (5000+ employees)
- Proven success in outbound sales - you're scrappy, creative, and know how to build pipeline from zero
- Deep curiosity about AI and the future of generative tech
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to break down technical products to non-technical buyers
- A strong sense of ownership and urgency - you treat customer success and GTM strategy like your own business
- You're organized, metrics-minded, and love turning chaos into systems
- Experience selling technical infrastructure (APIs, dev tools, ML platforms, etc.)
- Background in consultative selling or solution engineering
- Familiarity with CRMs and outbound tools like HubSpot, Apollo, or Clay
- Played Portal 1 and 2 - or willing to as part of onboarding
