Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager Insurance

Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager Insurance- Internal Controls, Financial Reporting, Strong GL month end close needs to Prepare financial statements.
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting practices, performs various accounting functions with respect to general ledger accounting, financial statements and account analysis
The Senior Accountant/ Accounting Manager prepares schedules, and financial statement highlights. Prepare financial statements
Ensures account activity is recorded, corrections are made, adjustments are calculated and journal entries are prepared
Reviews and prepares month/year end reports, accrual schedules and ad-hoc reports and analysis
Reviews and verifies entries and accruals.
Assist with external and internal audits, Review journals, and reconciliations
Prepares bank reconciliations and cash posting reports, variance analysis
Financial reporting and analysis, development, and maintenance of financial reporting controls for the company's US GAAP and IFRS financial statements and reporting requirements.
Review and preparation of quarterly, annual and periodic US GAAP and IFRS financial
Research FASB and IFRS developments and relevant accounting policy,
Developments in reporting requirements and financial statements.
Process improvements related to the company's consolidated financial statement process.
Assist in development and review of the consolidated tax provision.
Provide updates to management on recent developments in financial reporting requirements, developments and trends in public reporting.
Maintain financial controls
Knowledge and experience with IFRS
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; experience with preparing US GAAP and IFRS financial statements.
