Our school is rooted in equity, care, and creativity, and we foster a collaborative and growth-oriented professional culture. We believe in designing inclusive, student-centered learning experiences that affirm identity, develop agency, and empower students to lead change in their communities.

The ideal candidate is an equity-driven educator who values collaboration, reflective practice, and innovative approaches to supporting diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specially designed instruction and services in ICT and/or SETSS settings to support students with IEPs in meeting their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral goals.
  • Collaboratively plan and co-teach with general education teachers to ensure access to rigorous, culturally responsive curriculum for all learners.
  • Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including progress monitoring, data collection, and family communication.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and families, grounded in high expectations and a belief in students' capacity to grow and thrive.
  • Participate in school-based special education compliance, including IEP meetings, annual reviews, and documentation in accordance with NYC DOE policies.
  • Engage in regular reflection and professional learning, including team planning, inquiry cycles, coaching, and data-driven instructional decision-making.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture that prioritizes student voice, leadership, and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities Grades 7–12 (Generalist or Content Area Specific)
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion for students with disabilities and multilingual learners.
  • Experience designing and delivering differentiated instruction and accommodations aligned to student needs.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in Integrated Co-Teaching and/or SETSS roles in a middle or high school setting.
  • Familiarity with Project Based Learning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), restorative practices, and competency-based education.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort giving and receiving feedback.

Why Join Us?

  • A supportive and mission-aligned team of educators committed to student-centered, inclusive practices
  • A vibrant learning environment where curiosity, voice, and identity are at the heart of teaching and learning
  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and innovation
  • The chance to empower the next generation of women leaders
