As a Video Editor on our production team, you will be responsible for elevating the quality of our Front Office Sports Today daily flagship show and the rest of our audio and video programming through editing, production, and native social posting. You will collaborate with producers, hosts, writers, and other creative staff to create high-quality video content optimized for various platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Front Office Sports’ New York office, with on-site attendance required five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce social-first video content primarily focusing on the FOS roster of original content franchises and shows, including short-form, long-form, and live content.
- Sync and layer audio and video tracks to create a cohesive, professional-grade final product.
- Enhance content with graphics, transitions, B-roll, and animations.
- Collaborate closely with the show team to ensure content aligns with the brand’s tone and creative vision.
- Optimize content for different platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.) based on best practices and platform specifications.
- Ensure timely delivery and high quality to meet production standards.
- Stay current with current trends, especially in the sports, video editing, and podcasting industries.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to video production.
- Proven experience in audio and video editing, preferably in the sports or media industry.
- Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop).
- High attention to detail and focus on results.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for sports and a deep understanding of sports culture and content.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation (After Effects, Motion Array).
- Strong understanding of social media video optimization on all platforms (X (Twitter), Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat).
- Previous work with high-profile podcasts or media personalities.
- Videography/shooting experience (familiarity with equipment, managing logistics, and collaborating with a team).
