Job Title: Patient Care Technician
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213
Shift: Mon–Fri (Evening and Night shift available)
Duration: 3 months with a strong possibility of extension
Pay range: $22-25/hr.
Duties:
- Takes vital signs, collects and prepares specimens, performs vision and hearing tests, urinalysis, and provides basic and emergency first aid.
- Instruct patients on specimen collection, conduct basic screenings like dipstick and hemoccult, and prepare specimens for lab pickup.
- Prepares patients and exam rooms, assists medical providers during examinations, and sterilizes instruments and equipment.
- Interviews patients for medical history, informs them about test preparations, answers routine inquiries, and educates them on health services.
Requirements:
- Certificate from an approved Patient Care Technician (PCT) program with EKG and phlebotomy skills required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or equivalent certification required
- Experience working in Psychiatry
- High School Graduate or GED required
