Shift Lead

The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is seeking a sharp, charismatic Shift Leader to join the team at our Brooklyn Location!

This role combines hands-on guest service with leadership responsibilities, overseeing operations when management isn’t on-site.

Compensation: $22/hour plus tips

Schedule: Part-time or full-time with evening and weekend availability required

#What You’ll Do#

Leadership Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate our front of house team during your shifts

- Troubleshoot issues as the on-duty point person for the floor, front desk, and bar

- Ensure smooth operations and maintain our meticulous service standards

- Balance the needs of guests, staff, and management to help recover quickly from any missteps

- Complete closing procedures including:

- Sending nightly reports through 7Shifts

- Closing all tabs with server and bar teams

- Ensuring facility cleanliness and readiness for next day

- Confirming all team members complete their closing duties

- Final facility security check and lock-up

Guest Service Duties:

- Anticipate and accommodate the needs of our guests on and off the courts

-Swiftly deliver tropical cocktails to highly festive patrons

- Teach shuffleboard fundamentals on the courts (don’t worry—we’ll teach you to be a pro!)

- Share coaching tips and game strategies with guests

- Promote our weekly leagues and special events

-Ensure a safe and respectful environment by not overserving

- And most importantly, strive to inspire delight at every opportunity.

#What We’re Looking For#

Required Qualifications:

- At least 2+ years experience in high-volume restaurant, bar, or entertainment venue

- Strong leadership presence with an optimistic, energetic attitude, self-motivated working style and common sense to spare

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to stay calm under pressure and work collaboratively

- Evening and weekend availability

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Experience with Toast POS system

- Previous hospitality leadership experience

-A penchant for obscure leisure sports

-Immediate availability
