GENERAL DUTIES
Performs highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.
- Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories
- Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials
- Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards
- Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities
- Manages equipment and materials inventories.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Kingsborough Community College - College Now Program is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Adjunct College Laboratory Technician to join our team. The Adjunct College Laboratory Technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment, assisting faculty and students with activities, and ensuring that all required paperwork is submitted.
The Key Responsibilities Include
- Assist faculty and students during sessions, providing technical support and guidance
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring is is in good working condition
- Manage inventory of lab supplies and materials, ordering replacements as needed
- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols
High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.
Other Qualifications
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and commitment to the program
$31.22 per hour.
