Position Summary

TCW is a leading global asset management firm with more than five decades of investment experience and a broad range of products across fixed income, equities, emerging markets, and alternative investments. TCW’s clients include many of the world’s largest corporate and public pension plans, financial institutions, endowments and foundations, as well as financial advisors and high net worth individuals.

The Head of Digital Client Marketing Experience is responsible for shaping and leading TCW’s digital presence and marketing strategy across paid and owned channels. This role will oversee the full digital ecosystem—including content strategy, creation, and distribution—ensuring a compelling and cohesive client experience at every touchpoint.

You will lead a team focused on building engaging, high-quality content across TCW’s website, email, social media, and multimedia platforms (e.g., podcasts, video), and ensure it is effectively distributed using tools like Salesforce and HubSpot. Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, this position plays a critical role in elevating brand visibility, strengthening client engagement, and supporting business growth through data-driven, client-centric digital marketing strategies.

Essential Duties

  • Digital Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with firm-wide objectives and client needs.
  • Content Creation & Management: support and partner with content creator to help lead the creation, curation, and distribution of insightful, engaging content across digital channels—ensuring alignment with TCW’s brand and investment platform. Manage editorial calendars, collaborate with investment and content teams, and optimize content for digital platforms.
  • Client Experience Stewardship: Own the digital client journey, optimizing touchpoints across the website, email, social media, and other channels to deliver personalized, seamless experiences.
  • Marketing Technology: Manage and optimize TCW’s digital martech stack, (i.e. Salesforce, HubSpot, Conductor, Hearsay), and related tools to support segmentation, automation, and performance tracking.
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and Oversee digital and paid media campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, programmatic platforms, and other digital media.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Establish and track KPIs, leveraging analytics tools like Google Analytics and Tableau to assess campaign performance and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team of digital marketers, content specialists, and media professionals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with investment teams, sales, creative, compliance, and external agencies to ensure alignment and impact of digital initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Manage digital and paid media budgets to ensure efficient allocation and strong ROI.
  • Innovation & Compliance: Stay up to date with trends in digital marketing, financial services, and compliance to drive innovation and mitigate risk.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in digital marketing and paid media, with a proven track record of successful digital campaigns. Experience in financial services preferred.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • Content Expertise: Strong background in digital content development and editorial management across web, email, and social media.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and programmatic display. Proficiency with analytics tools like Google Analytics and Tableau/Power BI. Demonstrated expertise in digital technology platforms such as HubSpot, Conductor and Hearsay.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and campaign optimization.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certifications: Certifications in digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot, Facebook Blueprint) are highly desirable.

Estimated Compensation

Base Salary: For NY based position, the base salary range is $200k – $225k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
