Founding Senior/Staff Designer

Confido (YC S21) is building an AI-native system of record for brick-and-mortar retail brands. We’re building intuitive and powerful software paired with AI agents to help brands automate the tedious work involved in scaling brick-and-mortar and provide recommendations to help them scale more efficiently. Today, we sell a forecasting and accounting product, both of which support $Bs of retail revenue.

We have millions of ARR and best-in-class growth on just over $4M raised.

You will be our founding designer and own the direction of Confido’s design function. You’ll get to work at the forefront of designing best-in-class AI tooling for multiple departments within CPG brands.

What You'll Do

• Lead design and user experience for significant parts of our core product, contributing to the design process from prioritization through launch
• Rapidly prototype new features
• Collaborate with the team to refine our long-term product vision, design systems, brand guidelines, and internal design collaboration process
• Exhibit creative thinking and strategic execution, partnering with product and engineering teams to drive innovation forward
  
  

About You

• Minimum of 3 years of design experience, ideally in a startup environment
• Experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design for products with heavy workflows and complex data.
• Extraordinary visual design skills and strong understanding of UX principles
• Experience leading customer research sessions, aggregating insights, and communicating findings to product managers, engineers, and executives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate and defend design decisions while navigating complex product and policy considerations
