Overview
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our data team supporting high-impact financial operations. This role is geared toward individuals with a strong foundation in analytics and data manipulation, particularly in environments such as private equity, hedge funds, fintech, or investment banking. The ideal candidate will bring technical proficiency, financial insight, and a passion for uncovering actionable insights from complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale financial datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities
- Design and execute data workflows for modeling, forecasting, and operational reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and advanced Excel (including macros and VLOOKUP)
- Write and optimize queries in SQL and develop scripts in Python to support analytical initiatives
- Collaborate with business teams to define data requirements and deliver insights for decision-making
- Support machine learning and predictive modeling projects aimed at strategic investment and financial planning
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with quality standards in a cloud-driven environment
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis roles, ideally in financial services
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel with advanced functions (macros, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of data manipulation, data modeling, and analytics workflows
- Ability to translate complex datasets into clear business insights
- Familiarity with ML and predictive modeling techniques for financial applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in high-growth fintech, hedge funds, or investment banking analytics teams
- Certification in SQL development, BI tools, or Python programming is a plus
